Standard Bureau Issue Field Kit
Bureau Issue Pager
This item looks like an ordinary pager worn by most businessmen. Underneath its plastic shell it contains a homing device with a 10 mile range usually geared to the team RV. The pager acts as a GPS (Global Positioning System) device and has a small, one use taser built in. The pager can also be used to generate a deafening screech in either normal- or high-frequency ranges and, as usual for Bureau equipment, it can be set to explode (for 150 points of blast). Oh, it can be used as a pager, too.
Bureau Issue Helmet
This helmet is used if the team is expecting to tangle with supernatural nasties. The helmet looks much like a police riot helmet, but it contains several extras. The helmet has the following armor values:
| EN | BI | CL | PU | BL | FA | LV | EX | -AGL | -ACC |
| 36 | 40 | 44 | 36 | 40 | 20 | 50 | 40 | -1 | 0 |
All helmets contain radios linked to other teammates' helmets and are set with "killjoy" sensors which cause the helmet to explode (220 points blast, 60 points burn) if placed into something's mouth (better dead than lunch...)
Many helmets are also enchanted with SEE AURA and SEE INVISIBLE spells.
Bureau Issue Comb
This item looks exactly like a standard "unbreakable" plastic comb. The only real difference is that this comb really is unbreakable. The only problem is that the Bureau is only able to produce a few of these combs at a time, and, if an agent loses his comb, he must often wait up to a year for a replacement.
NOTE TO AGENTS: Please note that the combs do bend, they just don't break. We have lost several agents who got too cocky with their combs.
Bureau Issue Underwear
All right, stop laughing! This is good armor!
Bureau issue underwear is a tee-shirt and a pair of briefs that have been magically reinforced and are highly resistant to damage. These items are still as light and flexible as the normal types. Bureau issue underwear has the following armor ratings:
| EN | BI | CL | PU | BL | FA | LV | EX | -AGL | -ACC |
| 10 | 08 | 08 | 06 | 13 | 13 | 07 | 07 | 0 | 0 |
Be aware that because of the partial magical nature of this item, you can be stopped by magical barriers while wearing it.
Bureau Issue Pocketknife
The Bureau issue pocketknife is patterned after the popular "Swiss-Army" style of knives and includes the expected features such as:
A 4 inch all purpose blade
A 2 & 3/4 inch secondary blade
A 3 inch nail file / small flat-head screwdriver blade
A 4 & 1/2 inch double-toothed saw blade capable of cutting through tree limbs
A fold-out mini-scissors blade
A medium flat-head screwdriver / bottle-opener
A medium "phillips"-head screwdriver
A leather punch
A pair on small tweezers
A metal toothpick
The knife also comes with the following features not found on ordinary kives:
A 4 inch, pull-out magnesium torch (torch is ignited by pulling it sharply from the grip)
A small pen (capable of writing underwater)
The right-side handgrip flips up to reveal a set of lockpicks and a microfilm camera with film for 20 exposures.
The left-side handgrip flips up to expose a slide out themometer/barometer, a compass, and a small morse code transmitter with 15 minute battery (the transmitter needs to be tapped witht he toothpick and the morse code alpha bet is printed on the inside of the grip)
Bureau Issue Cellular Phone
The Bureau issue cell phone uses digital technology with a range far greater than found in conventional digital phones. The Bureau phone's "battery pack" also flips up to reveal a palm-sized computer screen (5 inches by 2 & 1/4 inches) with a small keyboard. The palm-top has 100 megabytes of memory and has a 56k modem tied into the phone. The phone can be plugged into the teams computer for upload/download functions.
