IAN

The alien infiltrator known as "IAN" is an extra-terrestrial spy sent by his government to infiltrate our world. His full plan is unknown, but the Bureau suspects that there are more like him hidden away elsewhere on the planet. He was first encountered by Agent Paul Chen who was investigating a reported were-wolf in the neighborhood where IAN was residing. Agent Chen noticed an odd antenna system coming from the house owned by one Ian McGillicudy. While staking out the surrounding area, Agent Chen noticed that all the animals in the area avoided Mr. McGillicudy, and Chen decided to follow up on this after he safely dispatched the werewolf. After 3 nights of monitoring the McGillicudy home Agent Chen determined that at 2:37 am every morning McGillicudy did something which used large amounts of electricity. On the fourth day, Agent Chen entered the house while McGillicudy was away and planted spy devices in each room of the house. When he was done, Agent Chen returned to his truck and waited for the night to come.

At precisly 2:35am Chen witnessed McGillicudy open a hidden panel and begin to operate an alien looking device. Chen was able to hear McGillicudy record a message in an indecipherable language and then receive an answer in the same language. At this time an alarm sounded inside the house and all cameras suddenly went black.

McGillicudy then fled the house in a car and drove north. Agent Chen called for backup, activated his siren, and gave chase to the fleeing car. After 20 miles, Agent Chen managed to disable the car and confronted McGillicudy. A transcript of the encounter as filmed by a camera hidden in the grill of the truck follows :
SCENE- Highway, a red sportscar sits by the side of the road.
(Agent Chen stands 10 feet from the car)
* CHEN - (putting his hand on his gun and showing his badge) OK, get out of the car slowly and keep your hands where I can see 'em.
* McGillicudy - O.K., O.K. (gets out of car with hands up)
* CHEN - Alright buddy you're coming with me! (motions toward truck)
* McGillicudy - You're going to arrest me for SPEEDING?
* CHEN - How does "suspected terrorist activities" sound to you? I saw the communications setup you had hidden....
* McGillicudy - Oh, I see..... (takes a step toward Chen)
* CHEN - STOP! Take one more step and I'll shoot! (aims for chest)
* McGillicudy - I'm sorry, what was that again? (Suddenly leaps through the air)
(Chen fires his gun, but McGillicudy twists in midair and is only grazed.) (McGillicudy tackles Chen and punches him twice. Chen slumps to the ground unconcious. )
* McGillicudy - (yelling) Stupid human! (kicks Chen in the head) Did you think you could stop an IAN with your feeble weapon? (kicks Chen in the chest) This minor annoyance will heal in a day! (kicks Chen in the back) I may look like one of you but I am still far superior to any human! Too bad you had to find out about us now, we could have used you after the invasion was over. (spits on Chen) Now you're just a corpse. (picks up Chen's gun and shoots him in the head. He then looks around and seems to focus on the camera in the truck.)
* IAN/McGillicudy - A-ha! A recorder! (points the gun at camera and fires.)

(BLACKNESS AND STATIC)

The truck's automatic transmitter sent the recording as soon as the connection to the camera was terminated. When agents arrived on the scene, the sports car was gone and the truck had been set aflame. The McGillicudy house had what was later called a "freak wiring overload" and burned to the ground before agents could investigate it.

Bureau agents who spot "IAN" should report in and request back-up for a capture operation. He is to be taken alive if at all possible.
