1. Subject
This document describes the powers of an artifact know as a Portable Graviton Field Generator AKA "The Lifter". This item was confiscated by Team Easychair after the Grnite Falls Mission of '99.

2. Item
Apparently, The Lifter does just that...it lifts anything from a tin can to an RV off the ground and can move the object around with no effort. The Lifter is a rectangular device with 3 dials on it, 25cm x 10cm x 5 cm depth, made of white metal with a black button, a green 'control stick' and a red 'slider' switch. There are no other markings on the device.

3. Powers
The Lifter is from the peaceful humanoid race classified by the Bureau as the Dazwan (see the Granite Falls hot spot). The Dazwan accidentally left the device behind in an encounter with Team Easy Chair and was sent to Bureau HQ for further investigation.
The Lifter is a device which generates super-intensive focused graviton fields that counteract the gravitational pull of any planetary body. In short, it 'lifts' things by suspending the force of gravity on the object, and allows the operator to carry impossibly heavy objects easily.
The three controls on the Lifter, the button, stick, and slider, control the objects as following:

BUTTON: Turns the Lifter's field on or off.

STICK: This controls the direction and speed of the object. Objects under the control of the lifter move up to the rate of 10mph, max. To rotate the object, the stick can be twisted, and rotates at the same speed if the stick is fully twisted (the control seems to work like an analog arcade-style joystick).

SLIDER: The switch controls the height off the ground, from 0-100 feet off the ground. There are no numerical markings on the slider, but all the way down (towards the user) is 0, and fully up is 100 feet.

The Lifter can lift nearly anything up to the size of a fully loaded 18 wheeler. (however the device is couteracted by any non-technology fields, such as the ones produced by certain mages.)
The device has no openings or other ports on it, and is largely indestructible. However, agents who have the device and use it just MIGHT attract the attention of the Dazwans' sworn enemies...the Korik.
