barnabaBaron Jo-Jo Johansen

The human who would become known as the infamous Baron Jo-Jo Johansen came from humble beginnings as a two-credit scoundrel on Coruscant who though happenstance found himself on the Annaru Express where he planned to make a few credits gambling with the the well-to-do passengers along with his friend and muscle a wookie known as Groz. While on board, the ship was attacked and Groz and Jo-Jo escaped death via an escape pod, along with a jedi padawan, a drunk nobel and a few other beings who would later become famous or dead through association with Jo-Jo. The incident with the Express and the subsequent rescue from the dust ocean of the small planet of Dulon.
After being rescued from the middle of nowhere Jo-Jo found himself taking a couple of jobs for the Jedi Council the jobs led to the acquisition of the nearly destroyed transport "The Illusion". With an alledged ship in his hands Jo-Jo did ehat any self-respecting crminal would do, he took used stolen credchips to finance his ship repairs with a little help from an Ilthorian crimelord name Bebo Lokk. With a debt to Lokk on his back Jo-Jo invited his friends to join him touring the galaxy, meeting news and interesting people and being shot at on a regular basis due to the quasi-legal nature of Jo-Jo's business. After a while Jo-Jo found himself in the Palen sector where he made friends with a local crime boss known as Rv Shalle. Riv used Jo-Jo for assignments he needed done that couldn't be traced to Riv, though dangerous, sometimes in the extreme, the money was good and Jo-Jo always went where the money was good. As the months and years passed Jo-Jo became infamous as a guy who was nearly impossible to kill and who seemed to be able to get away with just about anything, from simple smuggling arrests to being caught red-handed as an accomplice to political assassinations, Jo-jo always got away and never served time.
Eventually Jo-Jo's gambling skills brought him to the attention of High-Stakes Eddie, one of the owners of the Hyperspace Drifter, who invited Jo-Jo to a card tournament where a star system would be the grand prize, the buy in was hefty at 5 million credits, but with Riv backing him, Jo-Jo made it into the game and took the brass ring. As he soon discovered, its not all fun and profit owning a star system. The previous government had collapsed and there were a number of outstanidng lawsuits and leins against the holdings of the system, the diplomatic and legal headaches that came with owning the system were almost enough to drive Jo-Jo away screaming, but the thought of abandoning the Montula-2 system and leaving all that equity behind was too much and so Jo-Jo turned to girlfirend Hator for help. With Hator and Riv's help the various offers were reviewed and in the end Riv and Jo-Jo decided on King Tuton's offer to trade the system for herditary titles and fuedal govenorships. Thus Jo-Jo became Baron and all nobility shuddered.
