1. Subject
Recovered alien spacecraft hereafter referred to as the UFO. This document is in reference to the crashed spacecraft recovered by Team Scorpio in the Mountains of North Carolina in 1994.
2. Artifact
Commonly referred to as "the UFO" or "the saucer." This item has been determined to be a small interplanetary craft apparently used for covert surveillance by an unknown extra-terrestrial intelligence.
The UFO was performing surveillance over the North Carolina mountains when it collided with a small Cessna-type aircraft. The impact caused a container of toxic material inside the craft to break. The material was later determined to be similar to arsenic in a gaseous form and killed the pilots before they had time to react. The collision and subsequent crash were monitored by a Bureau satellite and reported to "Bangor, Maine." Team Scorpio was dispatched to investigate and were warned that the state authorities would arrive within 2 hours. Team Scorpio arrived on the scene and managed to gain entry into the craft. The agents discovered the deceased pilots in the upper chamber. After a few false starts and the inadvertent destruction of their truck, Team Scorpio managed to pilot the ship by use of a MIND spell (see below).
3. Present Owner
The UFO has been remitted to the custody of Team Gemini for the immediate future. It has been discussed that should the "owners" return, the UFO will be remitted to them upon request. Team Gemini was awarded the use of the UFO because the team leader was the only person(s) able to pilot the ship without help (see Team Gemini).
4. Description/Known Powers
The UFO consists of two compartments. Each level is 6 feet high and 15 in diameter. The main compartments rest upon an "engine-disk" which provides power through a barely understood fusion reaction system. This "engine-disk" measures 25 feet in diameter and is 3 feet thick.
The first compartment contains a double bunk mounted on the wall, a 8' X 5' viewscreen with a control center mounted in front of a seat. In the center of the compartment there is a 4' X4' table witha storage compartment underneath. The upper level is accessed by a small elevating plate which rises to the upper compartment when stood upon.
The second level consists of two sets of semi-circular control systems, one on each side of the craft, with a pilot's chair mounted in front of each (the pilots sit back-to-back). Each control panel has two sliding levers (one on each side of the panel) and an assortment of control pads. Each system has its own wall-mounted 6' X 3' viewscreen.
The ship is piloted by the combined actions of the pilots (who were apparently telepathic). System "A" has a lever for controlling vertical movement and another for controlling the craft on the horizontal axis. System "B" controls forward/reverse velocity and horizontal movement. The commands for triggering the various subsystems must be entered using both control panels.
The UFO has the following weapons and abilities:
- Smoke Screen/Cloud Maker - Generates a sticky cloud effect that can be used as cover and will move with the ship at speeds up to 15 miles an hour.
- Jammer - Interrupts radar tracking systems.
- Knock-Out Gas - Sprays the surrounding area with a gas which renders most animals unconscious for 3 hours.
- Invisibility - Renders the craft invisible by an unknown method.
- Lasers - Fires lasers from any of the 8 ports located in the "engine-disk." Lasers do 100 points of Burn damage per round.
- Imploder - Causes the molecules in a target to contract (turned a utility truck into a lump of steel the size of a bowling ball).
- Radio - Interception and broadcast ability.
- Mapper - Generates a topographical map of the area in a 2 mile radius.
- Electric Charge - Generates an electrical field around the ship which discharges into a nearby object for 5d10 points of damage.
- Propulsion - The ship moves silently at speeds of up to Mach 5 (sonic booms still occur).
5. Recommended Action
For the forseeable future, the ship is to be used to monitor The Party and is to be used to prevent any local aircraft from colliding with The Party. If The Party disbands at some future date, the ship will return to Bureau R & D for further experimentation.
