Yes kids, it's time for "the Life and Times of Zandar, the Fifty-Foot Robot."
Originally a Science Fair project from 2068, Zandar's creator (who Zandar
refers to only as "Chuck") built Zandar in his spare time (You wouldn't
believe what Radio Shack has in 2068!) because he wanted something to play
with. For a laugh, he equipped Zandar with a temporal displacement drive,
and set the time back to 1988.
Zandar suddenly materialized over a small house in Liverpool, England on a
Tuesday morning, pretty much crushing it. He then flew off in search of
replacement parts for his now damaged drive unit.
Unfortunately, replacement parts won't be availiable until the mid 2050's,
and so, Zandar is pretty much stuck spinning his wheels on Earth.
Zandar is a large humanoid robot with superior AI capabilities. He is, for
lack of a better term, sentient. He also sports several nasty laser
weapons mounted on his shoulders, and wields a laser sabre in his right
hand, with a energy based tower shield in his left hand. He's very good
with both weapons, but only uses them for defensive purposes. Although his
initial appearance in Liverpool was handled by MI13 Col Jonathan Mott and
his team, he is well known to the Bureau, and is often consulted on events
that Zandar may have future knowledge of.
